    What about a BlackBerry/BlackJack...

I'm currently with T-mobile, my contract is up at the end of the month. So, I'm looking at a new phone. I could care less about size, but I want to surf the web, and do emails. And you never know when you want to bust out a spreadsheet.

I'd love to hear from other blackberry/blackjack users. What do you have? Do you like it? Complaints?

I'm looking at two phones. The Blackberry 8800 (I can get for $280 from t-mobile.) Or the Blackjack II(I love samsung products - Samgsung is the new sony or some shit. Everything they make is great. That I'd have to get on my own and run it unlocked.

    Here is some eye candy:

Fuck T-Mobile! They aren't even 3G! At least 2 companies way ahead of them. Streaming FTW..

If you can, go for the Blackberry Curve 8310. I have owned/used for extended time the BlackJack, multiple Treo's, Nokia E62, Moto Q and the BlackBerry 8800. The Blackberry's where BY FAR better and smarter phones, plus you can customize pretty much every aspect of the phone. The 8310 took the cake cause it has a 2-megapixel camera, GPS (some 8800 series have this) that you can integrate GPS with Google maps, and its smaller than the 8800 height wise.

EDIT: Blackberry's email system is amazing btw...

Ive got a friend with a blackjack and it sucks for him. apparently the operating system on it crashes all the time and he has to restart it frequently.

Good point. I might have to either get a phone with wi-fi or change providers.
T-mobile does have AWESOME customer support. Truly first class, bend over backward kinda of support.

I hear this is a window mobile issue. I can live with re-boots. (I'm NOT getting an iphone)

thanks for the detailed response. What makes Blackberrys so much ahead of the competition?

BB has a great support system

              Great programs to run..
OperaMini - web browser that "makes the internet look like the internet" just like the iPhone.
Google Maps Mobile - just like iPhone but with GPS

opera mini and GMM are available for many, many other OS setups (s60, UIQ, WM6, etc).

i disagree with asian man, blackberries are excellent for power business email users. they suck for everything else. my favorite pda phone of all time was the nokia e61i. and that's considering ive owned everything: bb curve, 8800, pearl, nokia e90, n95-3, e61i, htc kaiser, se k800i, p990, p1i, moto q (puke) and that's all i can remember right now...

I have a curve and a pearl. I like them alot. BB's will open office files (word, excel) with a program that you can "find" online. I forget the name it's been on my phones over a year.

Love BB hate T-mobile. I will be escaping them in November when my servitude expires.

My work gave me a Backberry worldphone (the new one, whatever its called). The browser sucks ass, its slow as fuck in google apps, and its syncronization sucks balls (save for the semi push email that takes forever to reconcile).

I have an HTC touch for my personal phone. Works with microsoft exchange activesync for push emails, syncs with outlook, views office documents, has Live Search (blows away google maps), ect.

My touch > my blackberry. ALthough the blackberry is better made and has a qwerty keyboard.

EDIT: My HTC Touch has been flawless. Not rebooting all the time and none of the glitches that others have had (including my girlfriend). But the nice thing is sprint replaced her phone pretty quickly.
                        Im now E30less.

I've heard nothing but problems with HTC phones.

I've had an HTC Excaliber (tmo dash) for a long time, and it has been great.
