I went to San Diego for a car and all I got was these stupid pictures

I got in my truck at 5am and drove to San Diego to get a car I thought was in good condition (except for some body damage) which had rust everywhere, had a hole in the cat, had grinding brakes, dead shocks and a dead AC compressor.

    I got home at 5pm.

    I love
12 hour drives and 200+ in wasted gas.

One good thing Thanks Josh for the Shell MicroFiber cloth deal I got 6 at three different fill ups.

That happend to me a time or two. But that was when gas was cheaper. I tend to stay closer to home now when checking out cars.

Take the train next time. It's cheap, you can sleep, work or read. And you can get a ticket at the last moment unlike flying.

Then if the car doesn't pan out, you can take the train back.

(oh AZ to SD would be a long train ride - never mind)

Jam - it's Schenectady, and its where i live right now. Its a pretty silly place. One of my teachers told me a story about having guns fired down his street while he was in his house (this was one block of campus). It's getting better though, It mostly just has a bad reputation.

Why did you think it was a good car to start with?

Pictures looked ok and credible sounding owner.

Or did you think I read an ad online & jumped in my truck & drove almost 800 miles on a whim?

Yeah trains are not fast & they stop alot. I averaged 75 and it took 12 hours door to door.

The rest is stopping for gas, looking at the car eating lunch etc.

I never thought of the train good idea for shorter trips.

Ahh you have had the misfortune of being in my area, and yes Schenectady is a run down shit hole in allot of the city.
