Hi Bourne. A whole year is a very long time. Most likely your visa will be 6 months. I understand you want to do some kind of roadtrip with an old Caddy across the midwest, and Southwest. That's fun but will cost money. The hard part will be to work. You won't be allowed to work. Unless you are ready to get paid what mexicans get, which is not much.

If you are a student, then you can stay a whole year, won't be allowed to work, but at least you can stay for a longer time and get to experience the "real" America.
