im not white but i am very angry after reading this because it's a bunch of bravado crap, pitting the white male as a victim or minority of this country.

It's not a racial issue - it's a social issue. I think "American Man" would have been a better use of words. It helps to be a little enlightened when reading things like this.

it doesn't seem to be substantiated... and didn't add anything to the discussion. that's all he is saying.

I understand that, but like the other guy said its sounding like its a racial thing, and then people are talking about every single major candidate except obama, and then they are saying the lesser of two evils and everything as if obama is just not a part of this presidential election.

                  bravado crap?

you need to google "The pussification of the American male". If people think this is bravado then we're a nation of pussies who are breeding another generation of even more pussified men. Look at the shows on TV - things like "yes, dear" and this other shit they push on society making men out to be "dumb" and the wife "always right". You wonder why spending in this country is out of control and debt is at an all time high? Talk to the ones in the skirts who had to finance a huge SUV, a LV bag, and a bunch of other shit she didn't need - with the man not having to stones to say "how about fuck no" and making decisions.

You call it bravado, others call it being a man and handling his own business.

that's right - she doesn't control the funds.

people can say what they will, but every highly successful family/individuals that I know and come accross operate their household in this manner. It seems to be a proven method of success. Those who stand back an say "yes, dear" don't generally do as well.

anyway, back to the topic at hand...

If anything, libertarianism is far more consistent than both popular liberalism and popular neo/conservatism.

                          In a nutshell..

Conservatives claim to value limited government - yet who are the ones vehemently opposing gay marriage and supporting asinine crap such as intelligent design?

Liberals supposedly value equality and freedom, yet they are the ones that want to redistribute tax money to the poor. Who are the free ones?

You're just closed minded and confined to the two party system. Way to think for yourself.

And besides, it's wrong to complain that somebody wasn't adding to the discussion when the discussion itself is based off something equally whiny and stupid.

                            Wow.

I can't believe you just shed such amazing light on my world! I never would have come to these conclusions on my own! THANK YOU! You just summarized a world that I had no grasp on, and couldn't properly analyze on my own! My life is now centered and complete.

EDIT: You're a Newb - go back and take a peek at the Obama thread that's about 20 pages long and then come back to the discussion. 26 posts and cruisin for an e-bruisin.
