    New Car time

    Hey guys,
I have decided to sell the convertible and am looking for a new or slightly used car. I am looking at ideas but thought I'd ask to make sure I'm not missing any.

    So..I have 15K to spend

    It needs to have...
-Alright gas mileage (no trucks, which I have always wanted)
-All the airbags (front, side, ect)
    -Have A/C

Thats all I am looking for.

What I have working for me:
I recieve GM employee rate and
    Ford Supplier

I'm not asking for an all in one car that you say to get, I'm just seeing if I missed some and to get other options

For $15k you get a very nice, unmodded late model e36 M3. Or an e46 330
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

      I'd get a clean IS300 5 spd. Basically a non-turbo Supra wrapped in a Sedan body

        I like those IS's.

I have seen late body 7 series with 100K going for 19K. Food for thought! ;)

That is probably what I would get as well.

          Maybe in white though.
Not that I care, of course.

If you are actually talking about NEW, then if you want to use those discounts - look at a Focus.

If you are not hung up on getting one of the American brands, look at Fit, Yaris and Versa in that order.

You could get a GTO for that price

              other cars - S2000, Mini Cooper S
Lately I've seen M Coupes and M Roadsters in this area go for 15k or less.

I love the IS's but its pretty hard to find them in manual.
If your going new your stick with the Fit. Used I would get the S2000 or Mini S, but the GTO is kinda cool. I've seen some nice s2000's for around 10k. If you want to use your GM discount then go get a Saturn Astra, which is a rebadged Opel.

Oh crap - forgot about the Astra - that could be another good choice, and he says he can get the GM discount. Good call, Apex.

Those IS300's are sharp cars. Probably the only Lexus I'd ever buy. I saw one leaving work the other day, and thought to myself, "I'd roll in that!" Pretty cool cars!

There are subtle, dynamic lines on the IS300 that would probably keep me happy for the rest of my days. Maybe I should buy one?

                      Hmmm...

BTDT - its an e46 with no soul.

                          It'll run forever - it's a Toyota.

It didn't start that at all. I don't know where you got that.

But I do really like the IS 300. But Sean, you said that's the only lexus you'd ever own?

How about the Lexus IS F?

Sorry for the digression. For $15k I'd look for an e46 330 with decent mileage.
