    SNL/ Gnarles Barkley

What a joke, I used to be the biggest fan of Cee-lo when he was with Goodie Mob, now he just sucks. I got Rick Rolled during his performance on SNL and was actually relieved. OutKast sucks now too for that matter. One of the best shows I ever saw was in when i was in HS in Dallas(circa 1995): The Roots, Goodie Mob and Outkast. It was phenominal. Who would have thought they would have become such sell outs. I guess I cant say much. If it came down to it I would probably sell out too. Sucks for the true old fans though. Anyone out there feel me on this?

EDIT: The Roots are still legit

    Yeah, I can.

Right now I feel like listening to "Don't feel right" by The Roots.

That brings up a good point, I should edit that The Roots have stayed legit all the way through.

Yeah, I still listen to hip hop but all the crap is just too much and recently I've been listening to funk, Parliament, Johnson Brothers, Ohio Players, Rick James, etc.

nice, I agree, too much bling, playa, gangsta/mtV BS. I dig the funk too. Where's Luke, I know he likes the old 70's funk.

Shit, guys, I was (and still am) listening to that same shit, every since it came out.

Lately though, it has been more Tech N9ne and his "Strange Music" guys, like 57th Street Rouge Dogs, Kutt Cahoun, Chris Calico.

The other day my son and my daughter were arguing about MC Hammer lyrics...so I put it on (we have 3500 CDs on the shop PC) and have lately been on a "early pop rap" buzz. DMC, Cool J, Hamma...wish I had some Schooly D...he was the first "dirty" Rapper.

Hip Hop still exists?? I havent heard any Hip Hop in at least 8 years. Wow nice to see its still around..........as a bloated shadow of itself like rock did 2 decades ago.
