When did I ever say that I have a G25 wheel? I have the Driving Force Pro and as far as I know it will be compatible with GT5 Prologue and it is compatible with the GT cockpit.

One of my biggest qualms with video games is how expensive they are. 40 to 60 bucks cmon. Buy enough games and you already paid the price for the system. Its even worse for the Wii

If you consider how much it costs the developers to produce these games; the price is well justified. PS3 game developers are upset because it is difficult to code for the cell processor and consumers are upset at the $60 price tag. I think that is why you see games that are expandable for an extra $5... it can work for games like Rock Band but when Need For Speed (which I hate) charges you extra for new cars, it's somewhat pointless..

I do believe GT5P is planning on doing that.... but the biggest thing that I finally want is the online game play.

I know Japan and Europe has already had GT5P for awhile and there is a Spec II version with a F1 car, and probably the F40 I keep seeing in the trailers.

I do believe that the GT5P is buy-able from the PS store for $40 and the game (with extra features) is $60....

I am still waiting for it to show up on the PS store though; It should have been ready today...

So, you think GT5P will use the same "pay (actual money) to play" idea? Man, I hope they don't. I could see why they would, but it's highly doubtful that I'll fork over additional [real] money just to virtually drive a virtual car. That said, GT5P will own my 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Never said you did. The cockpit is baller no doubt, but I'd think you would want the latest wheel to go with it. I have the Driving Force Pro, but I'll damn sure be upgrading to the G25 before GT5 final is even in my hands (I can't swing Prologue+PS3+G25 right now).

I highly doubt gtp will be an item in the ps store as on disc its nearly 40 gb.

                    -edit-
I was lied to. lol I would almost rather download it than buy it on disc.

Well they (reviews, etc) are speaking about the possibilities of this idea and it seems that is the new way of expandable gaming.. In reality; if you have a game that is multi-player (online) that offers the gamers a longer experience in gameplay, for a lot less than buying a new game; it seems to be a winner.

So if you take GT5P; offer tracks (perhaps like a 5pack of actual race tracks) for $5-$10; it would be well worth it. Although if there is no internal reward system; ie: win races against slower AI cars, with the prize money buy better cars, or win an Example Cup race; win a secret car; it might lack.

It will be interesting with the online gameplay though; I do wish fields can include more than 8 cars (even when not online).

                        That's my take.
