pretty happy with it so far. kind of funny seems almost EVERYONE (including on bimmerforums) starts out with the Honda. not one post of using the GTI. which being euro fans you would think we would pick it over a JDM car.
The answer to your question lies within your question itself.
I am having a shit load of trouble passing all 15 cars on the Dayona 1 lap race. I was only .0019 behind the Mini but that's as close as I have gotten.
Yup. I can't get passed it. Once you beat B, you'll receive the Tii.... I just accepted silver for that race, the rest in gold.
Wait till you get to A class, I am really impressed with the AI.
For the money you can't beat the Honda Type R... it has always been my starting car; high revs, good handling and it meets all the requirements to be allowed in the races.
On a side note, I have the second fastest time in the Tii at Daytona.. the only way to upload times is going through Arcade, so we are stuck with S2/S3 tires; which is a shame. My time is 2:09:XXX; fasted posted is a 2:08:XXX, which is doable.
Ted (or others) who are having problems getting passed the Mini Cooper S in C class oval race at Daytona, make sure you maximize the gears and don't mis a shift. Also coming around the first bend on the the long straight but before you go into the second bend, make sure you are near the high 150s (157-162) in order to get a sling shot out into the second bend, pass the next car and duck behind the mini cooper just before the finish line.
Took me about 10 tries; easy way to win money (1 lap) and I finally have all gold's in C now.
For those who are in B, the High Speed Ring in the Type R; it is very hard to carry enough speed to pass the Mini Cooper S.... I'm getting close but still coming in second.
Nice setup though on the G25. I don't like how the feet are placed when I play; so it is too RV like. I think if I were laying down more (like a Formula car) with the pedals straight up; it might be easier for me.
From what I gather it releases in Japan in July 2008 but no mention on other releases either. But if it comes out then in Japan I would assume it will be a Christmas time release here in the USA.
