Welp! I went to the ER again Friday night, when blood shit started spewing out of my eye. They flushed it out again, but this time it was better. 1. I got a hot resident to work on me. 2. She didn't ever leave me so she could squeeze the IV bag to make it go quicker so it only took like 15 min. 3. We just bullshited about random stuff for an hour, way more entertaining then laying in a hospital bed for 2 hours with all the lights off in the room being bored as hell.

Now today, I pretty much have all my vision back. Still feels scratchy but I can see again, so I am happy.

I was supposed to have a follow up with an opthamologist today, but I got pissed off and left. I fucking waited for 1:45min for them to fucking take me back. I finally said fuck this shit and left. On my way out I blew though the parking ramp exit before the lady could put the gate down and flicked her off. I fucking HATE the mayo clinic. They are a bunch of fascist nazi's who don't give a fuck about anyone or anything. You could be bleeding out and they would STILL make you wait for 6 hours in the waiting room, only to transfer you to a smaller one to wait for 4 more hours. The doctors don't give a shit about you, you pay way to much, and they fucking own rochester. Thats why rochester is such a god forsaken hell hole, mayo has the whole rochester government in their back pocket.

BLAHHH FUCK THEM, but whatever I can see, and right now my legs and arms are rubber bands and my insides are warm ice creame because I just took like 4 vicodin.

I can first hand agree that brake cleaner in your eye completely sucks. At my old job I was pumping it out of a siphon pump thing into a squirt bottle to THEN transfer into a sure shot (pressurized spray can thing). Well, I wasnt paying attention and it over filled then sprayed brake cleaner EVERYWHERE. All over me, including my face and a hefty splash right in my right eye. Probably 15 minutes of washing it out with water right away, then back to work...still hadn't filled up the sure shot, but somehow got it in my LEFT eye too. Walked back 95% blind to the bathroom and proceeded to flush out that one too.

That shit burns. Bad. And yeah, you're effectively blinded.

At the shop i work at we use brake cleaner to clean up after every oil change, and just about anything else. I've gotten big drips of it in my eyes several times and have had to do no more than flush it out at the sink. It makes me wonder if you're using some more potent kind than we do. Does it say chlorinated or non chlorinated on the bottle? I've used both and found the non-chlorinated to be much less harsh. You might want to give that a shot so you dont end up in this situation again. Regardless, i'm glad everything cleared up for you. That would've been an unfortunate way to have permanent eye-sight loss (not that there's a good way).

It's not the acetone that's fucking you up, it's something else.

A few years ago ( OK more like 20, fuck I'm getting old ) I worked at a shop building high dollar sailboats, globbed a HUGE blob ( think covered 6 square inches of face eyeball included ) of kicked resin in my eye, the catalyst for for poly resin is MEKP the P being peroxide ( the skin eating kind ) water would have done nothing ( ever tried washing resin off your hands with water ) so I grabbed a gallon of acetone and opened that eye WIDE and let er rip. Man that shit burns but it does not fuck up your eyes, that eye was more clear and sharp than my other eye all day. My vision is still better than 20-15 in both eyes.
