    Im excited!

I had to tell someone else, so I thought I would post it on here. I finally got a job haha. It's going to take a month to get in, but thats cool with me. It pays $17 an hour, and I am only 18, so not bad! It's for the Union. I will be working in Vegas building casinos and crap. Sorry I just had to tell someone else.

    Thanks,
    Jordan

        Cool cool.

I just started a new job last week disassembling hobby class RC cars. Pay is per piece, but averages $8-$12 and hour.

Nice man, construction is hard work but $17/hr is a good starting point at only 18. Congrats on the job!

that's a good wage for an 18 year old in construction, especially in these hard times. Good luck, and don't mess up!:)

$17 an hour in vegas in the summer is not bad, until you blow it all on gatorade, hookers, blow, and illegal gambling.

40 hours a week, with mandatory overtime sometimes. I depends on how bad they want the place built.

Thanks. Yeah in 6 months I will be make like 60%, so its like $20 an hour.

That's about the size of it. You non-CA/big city people have no clue what life is like out here.

I was in Palm Springs for six months, and was expecting it to be bad - but it wasn't THAT bad.

I drove thru Newport Beach, and spoke to someone that had a job offer to work there. She was gonna be making about 110k a year, and said she'd be hardpressed to find a place to live on that salary.

But, looking again - are you saying I'm correct and that living REALLY IS expensive out there? LOL
