I don't think it's scare tactics. I think people just have to wake up and learn to adopt some changes that will only serve to benefit them, as well as the planet. Besides, it's not like all the advice I've seen is radical or anything, it's all simple stuff that has been encouraged for years.

You guys need to relize something WE DONT have near the impact on this ball of dirt you would like to think we do. Its that BIG ASS GLOWING ORB that just out our cosmic back yard that is causing the climate change. Its not just getting hotter here on this ball of dirt mars is heating up at about the same rate, now tell me why thats happing, is it because we put a car or two on that planet tooo. Solar activity as well as glacial cycles do affect our planet. But so does deforestation, land water and air pollution/contamination as well as mining and burning all the oil, coal and gas that took the earth billions of years to suck down into the ground so that the ecosphere could support life. Saying that theres nothing that we can do about it is just an excuse not to try. Unless some drastic changes are made our civilization is destined to drown in our own shit. The population is going to double in this century, thats a lot of mouths to feed and shit to flush. Sustainable living is the future whether you like it or not.

That said, enjoy your e30. Try to conserve what you can, replace old sensors so that the motor burns efficiently, maybe get a K&N reusable air filter and have some fun.

The Sun is what drivers our weather period. Stop taking everything AL says as gospel, use you head and do some real research on the topic. The oceans can and will absorb 1000 times the amount of CO2 that we as humans could ever dream of producing in a year. All that water is like one big carbon filter for the earth, and WTF "suck down into the earth" what the hell is that about. Now I will say we can screw with things by contaminating the water or food supply, but the climate will do as it likes no matter what you or AL, or we as a spices do.

Now apparently you dont understand the sun. Go out in you back yard and start a pallet fire (in case you didnt know they are hot) now walk in a circle about 15 feet away around it for a while (that is about the scale of earth to the sun). Then have a buddy douse a pallet in Gas or if you Like diesel and toss it into the fire but you continue to walk in the same circle. You will get hotter. The sun is fucking barely on the edge of a controlled nuclear fusion reaction, the only thing keeping it form exploding is its shear mass and gravity holding it together. Its not a given constant reaction that is powering the damm thing it varies from time to time. Now unless we can move the orbit of the earth out another 20 million miles form the sun I dont see any thing helping.

We have barely 125 years of accurate weather records, and this ball dirt has been around for 4.5 Billion yes billion with a "B" now how the fuck do you think 125 years of a 4.5 billion is a accurate sampling to make any definitive conclusions on anything. Its like the hole in the Ozone, we didnt have the tools to know about till the 70's and then all the sudden we have a hole that most likely has been there all along.
