This is bs. True I have hardly been out of the European continent, but i have never ran into this "unpopularity'. You are just saying what your hear. If you find someone who doesn't like Americans it is because they see big groups of 18 year old males getting drunk and pissing in the city center, not because of current happenings. They don't like our government but they don't hate on the people. I spent 10 days in Turkey and before i left, everyone told me how much they hate Americans, such crap, they were the most accommodating and friendly people i have met. I am just sick of this topic and people saying what they dont know. Like i said, i haven't traveled far and wide over our mother earth and maybe there are places where this hate exists, just don't make it so general and factual.

From what I understand about the global economy is; consider that a US recession will affect the rest of the world (look at many of the decreases recently in the global markets). The US is the largest buyer of exported goods worldwide, if we take a dive, we bring the world with us AFAIK.

Video games and movies cost twice as much in australia. As do alot of other things. Keep that in mind. Cost of living when using american branch-off goods is through the roof.

edit: oh and we need pictures of austrlian bitches up in hurr.

Southern California COSTCO's and Sams Club's are "rationing" bulk grain/rice now. Cannot buy 20-50lbs bags anymore. Watch when our 8 day wheat reserve gets baked...

half of the state is desert.

The drive between Bend and Boise is the most boring drive I've ever neen on until you get to the canyons.

That's why I'm trying to get some part-time job action over here while I study.

rede30 was right when he said the only reason Americans are hated is people see the drunken, young idiots blowing around town. So long as you act like an adult, people are down with the... er... America.

                          I couldn't find a rhyme.
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
                          Mark: "You never will."

If you have the ability to go overseas for a few years I would do it. I spent 3 years in SE Asia not too long ago and it was really one of the best times I've had in my life. Good luck where ever you go.
