How often do you go through your "I hate e30's" mood..?

last time i hated mine was last may when the breaks went out at the track. on the other hand my e34 has really been pissing me off! hermastat, rad leaking, needed a new dme, and the speed bumps at my school blew one of my shocks out!

I'm currently in the "i hate the damn car" mood-- was replacing pads rotors when i discovered my brake lines are cracked(thankfully not leaking), I'm almost out of brake fluid, my left front rotor has about 0.030" of runout when the tolerance spec is .008" leading me to think I need a new bearing/hub but hoping it's just a bad rotor, and other assorted issues.

I'm in a 'hate my financial situation' because I can't buy a good 90 325is here in San Diego. I decided to pay off all my debt first (paid it off yesterday) before buying, but this 325is suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Too bad I don't have the money yet for it :( and the girl is only asking 2300 for it.

I think those are the exact 2 reasons why I haven't felt that way in a long time.

When you daily a company Chevy S10 with a big stupid ass canopy on it, you develop a lot more respect for your car.

I kind of hate it when I mentally tally up what I've spent on my car. I briefly think that I should just sell and buy an e36 m3. Then I pay the mortgage for the month and realize why I drive an e30.

It could be the fact that I haven't driven mine in over a year too...

I do occasionally, but honestly not as often as I thought I might when I bought the thing. :D Plus most of the issues I've had I caused myself, so I can't be too mad at the car.

Exactly! When something breaks or wears out it is mandatory upgrade time :) Think of it as a car payment you only have to make every few months or so.

If I get tired or annoyed for having to work on the E30, working on my 1990 Silverado or one of my buddy's GTI's usually snaps me back to reality and I realize how maintenance friendly the E30 usually is.
