    Ford Focus SVT?

    Hey guys,
I was wondering if you had any information on these cars. They seem pretty descent performance wise and the focus has shown to be fairly reliable. I am just looking for something to drive as a dependable daily that might have a little zip. Let me know what ya think and please no ITS NOT AN E30 THEREFORE ITS INHERENTLY EVIL if ya could. THanks guys!

I've heard great numbers from them as well...but they have awful service record and blow up constantly. Again, this is just what I've heard.

My buddy went through 2 transmissions when he had one about 4-5 years ago. What model year are you looking at ?

cooling system issues due to a plastic t-stat housing leaking and then cooking the tstat due to no coolant on it.

One of the better hatchbacks out there, the SVT suspension is also very cheap from the dealer...

My mom has non ZX3 Focus. It's a bit slow, but handles good and is comfortable. It's a 2003 and as of yet has had no problems.

the SVT Focus is an awesome car. Its got an amazing suspension setup, and its quick to boot. I wouldnt buy a regular Focus. The SVT gives you all the little creature comforts that you'd be used to in a BMW as standard. A water downed Focai reminds me of driving a shitty baseline rental car...

                        Oh wait..

What's "racer-boi" about it? Alloy wheels and fog lights? It's modest sideskirts? I've never driven one of these cars, but I think the last thing I'd complain about is its style. The differences between the SVT and a standard Focus are pretty discrete.
