I can't even phathom how an E30 would hold up with some maniac in an 18-wheeler rolling over it. It goes without saying that that guy is so far beyond lucky. Pretty amazing.

Bullshit. Semi drivers are some of the worst asshole drives on the road I've ever seen. Tailgating, cutting people off, hogging lanes and fucking around with other semi drivers recklessly.

longhaul drivers are one thing, but the coastal areas of the pacific northwest have jipmo (SP?) logging drivers that are probably being paid by the load. They routinely haul ass down country roads and cross the center line around corners. People die every year as a result when they cross the center line taking a tight corner at 50 with a full load of logs. Dont get me wrong, they're hard working people up in these mountains, but I get scared shitless when I hear airbrakes higher up a mountain when I'm driving up a gravel road to go hunting.

Truth...but for the MOST part per mile driven they say and I can see it, that they have the best driving record. Theyre on the road ALL the time and are not getting in AS MANY accidents. However I worded it before, whatever, I do agree though that the drrivers have a sort of "I drive a tank, get out of my way" mentality.

Exactly. You can't make generalizations. Last year, my Dad made it to 1 MILLION miles incident free (got a hell of a bonus, too). But everyday, I see truckers that don't even deserve a license to even ride a bike.

The road is two lanes. He is driving along, and coming towards him in the other lane is a semi truck followed by another semi. Just when the audi is adjacent to the first truck, the one behind pulls in to the audi's lane to pass the front truck. The audi kid attempts to go between the trucks rather than veer to the right and off the road. Smashing occurs.
