The C1 is rare and is most likely to be bought by a collector. And not driven/ridden ever.
But these days, for even less than that C1, you can get a BMW K1. Which is pretty cool and a collector too. I vote for the K1 instead.

Thank you Lee. I'm starting to feel a little better about things.
20K miles is more than half the expected lifespan of a scooter, so I'm not sure how collectible that thing is.
edit: At second glance, it looks like it's got 20K kilometers. That's probably as far as the current owner wanted to drive it while being taunted by little kids on bikes passing him and laughing.Last edited by ragged325; 05-21-2008, 09:40 AM.

It is interesting to witness that the collector status of a K1 hasn't picked up yet, but it is slowly coming. The bike was deemed as being extremely ugly back in the late 1980's but it seems that now, people find it better looking than Bangle's design...
The K1 is contemporary with the e30 M3 (late 80's to early 90's) and I wouldn't be ashamed to ride one either.
Prices listed below are on the high side though.

Seriously, who needs all of that wind deflector crap when the thing probably goes about 45 mph downhill.

Lee is right these are actually sought after by collectors:
I'm a baller on a budget so I cant quite justify the C1. Instead I've rocked this for the last 6 years:
I just sold this:
And now I'm on the hunt for one of these:
