Wow. Okay, so I ride my bmw scooter to the American idol concert. My favorite performer starts to sing my favorite mariah carey song. Is it okay to cry? I'm not sure of anything anymore.

The C1 is rare and is most likely to be bought by a collector. And not driven/ridden ever.
But these days, for even less than that C1, you can get a BMW K1. Which is pretty cool and a collector too. I vote for the K1 instead.

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Thank you Lee. I'm starting to feel a little better about things.

20K miles is more than half the expected lifespan of a scooter, so I'm not sure how collectible that thing is.

edit: At second glance, it looks like it's got 20K kilometers. That's probably as far as the current owner wanted to drive it while being taunted by little kids on bikes passing him and laughing.

It is interesting to witness that the collector status of a K1 hasn't picked up yet, but it is slowly coming. The bike was deemed as being extremely ugly back in the late 1980's but it seems that now, people find it better looking than Bangle's design...

The K1 is contemporary with the e30 M3 (late 80's to early 90's) and I wouldn't be ashamed to ride one either.

Prices listed below are on the high side though.

The sad part is when I ride it, I get the same MPG as the 318... but its a ton of fun!

The speedo goes to 130KPH/80MPH. It would probably be pretty quick with 125cc. Hell, my Go-ped is 26cc's and it will do 40. Granted, there is a lot less weight, but still.

So.. what are the specs on your cabby since apparently we're measuring peoples dicks here. Buy a Camaro.

                        :nice:

Lee is right these are actually sought after by collectors:

I'm a baller on a budget so I cant quite justify the C1. Instead I've rocked this for the last 6 years:

                        I just sold this:

And now I'm on the hunt for one of these:

I like how the guy with the nice e30 m3 tries to turn this into a discussion of who has the nicer car. I don't have a car, I sold mine. I drive a Tundra. The topic of this thread is a discussion of the merits of the c1. The point that I made was that I would not buy that c1 and that it is marketed to appeal to a metrosexual consumer. You apparently like it. I think we can agree to disagree.

I will say that when I lived in the Virgin Islands I bought a 80cc honda elite with a buddy to get around the island on. It cost $400 and it was a blast. We beat the shit out of it and sold it for $400 when I left.
