Taking Ethos on trip to California

Im gonna do the 53.00 dollar version of it, and I still cant believe it I spend 53 dollars and get 100 dollars in gas.

The 318 allready gets 300 miles to the tank *safley* and 350 if I milk it and I know there is a gas station close by, somthing you dont want to mess around with on the 10 from San Antonio to El Paso. So I really dont see how I will get much more but I will try. And an 12.00 or 11.50 gallon tank Times' the number of miles you do isnt the best or most accurate math, we will see what it says in the end.

    Whats your take on this.

Carry an extra 5 gallons in some sort of port-a-tank in the trunk....unless you're feeling lucky.

I'm surprised a bit at your mileage calculations. My '91 325i can get about ~350 miles from a tank if I'm easy on the throttle and do mostly highway driving. The motor is all stock with nearly 198K miles on it. 3.73LSD diff and 225/50 tires on 15x7 wheels too. I might be able to improve the economy a tad if I were running some bottlecap wheels with 195 width rubber.

My eta came with this cool gas tank that fits inside the spare tire, real bmw accessory too. I still have it somewhere, I used it for the lawnmower for a long time.

Even though I already run ethos in both my cars, it will be interesting to see what another E30 gets. Don't forget to add it to your oil too. 1 ounce per quart of oil. And about 2 ounces for an E30 gas tank.

I love the stuff. I called with questions so much that the president became interested in why I was calling so much. He called ME back and asked me how everything was going with the product and I told him straight up that I liked it. He asked if I would like to become a distributor and I agreed. So now I am an official Ethos Fuel Reformulator distributor. Any questions you guys have, shoot me an email.

Oh and to the PO, when you get to a rest stop, unhook your battery for a like 10 minutes. When I did this my mileage jumped up even more. My numbers aren't too high, 375 on a tank, because I have a heavy foot but its more than I have ever gotten with my car.

Now my moms car is getting ridiculous mileage. She has a 2000 323i 5 speed and she is getting 485 miles on a tank. Albeit, she is fairly old but she still drives like a mad women and gets that mileage.

              Keep us posted.

I dunno man, my usual with the 318 is 300, and 350 if I milk it to work and back, my mods are Bav Auto 318 adapter for some CAI action *not the really shitty e-bay one* my sweet ass konig remembers at 16" with some 215 rubber on em' , 4.10 LSD,shitty e-bay 318 chip even thought supposedly its a direct burn from a Dinan chip..

So where your making your money is the extra two cyclinders, and the 3.73 put you right in the money of the torque, the m42 is buzzed out at 3500-3800 to make 65-70 and 80mph is 4k, something I rarely do because its right where the cam's get hot and she picks up.
So my solution, maybe one tank without it! and one take with it to compare.

Cruise Control FTL! if you put it on, put your foot on the pedal..now as you come to a hill or something that causes some resistance feel how much the deflection of the pedal changes.. its a shit ton. For me losing 5mph just because the hill changes is no big deal, Ill add another 3/8 pedal to make up. The cruise control tries so hard to keep speed it will adjust up to 1/2 pedal or maybe more to 3/4.. I hate cruise control and ive noticed that it sucks on every vehicle ive ever driven, A good foot can do a whole lot better. Especially on hilly' terrain like Southern california or here in central texas.

Lets all hope I cant make a Trailer hitch before I go on the trip other wise I will drag my bike along and shitcan the whole idea. Ill take ethos, but the mileage will be with 400 pounds of trailer weight, so basically irrelevant to most of you.

thanks and I will be contacting you with some questions in a min.

                  peace.

i use cruise control to save gas all the time, i find that cruise can get to the exact spot where the throttle needs to be to just hold the speed where your foot would probably modulate back and forth likely wasting more fuel that way

So did you get the free gas? Thats the only reason I would order, somehow I think its harder to get then they lead you to believe.
