So on Bavauto, I see the Thule Basic Roof Rack system with the side clips and rails and what not. Its 179$

Then I see the Vise Fork bike racks. Its 109$. So is 300 dollars proper to spend on a decent roof rack system? Seems like a lot but then again I know nothing about this.

Anything else out there that is cheaper and equivalent?
Links? I'm thinking like 200 dollar max to get my bike secured on top of my car.
Like I said earlier i've got over 500 into mine. However, thats with a double surfboard rack and 2 bike racks that hold the frame not the fork. I also have locks that hold the bike rack to the rack it's self.

I would stop by one of the local roof rack places and see what they have to offer you. I have my BA trunk mount one! I think it was like 50 bucks like... 8+ years ago.

I've got a Thule rain gutter mount on my MG (see signature pic) and it works great. I use it for snowboards and when those aren't on, I use the bars to haul stuff like PVC pipe or what ever else won't fit in the car. I even put a 6' tall bookcase up there once.

I have the same bars bavauto sells with the most basic bike fork mount bike carrier with the wind fairing. $230 with used bars. I bought my new thule pieces from my local bike shop. They treat me great.

And we even put it on my car, and hauled the new hood for your MG back from Olympia!
