It's made in mexico, it's fwd, it spends a lot of time at the dealers. It's also funny how a big number of VW fans tend to just lower the shit out of them on stupid cup kits or any other soft springs, bottom out their suspension, go with wide wheels and stretched tires..... ugh. The VR6 does sound amazing though :)

I dig your whip and I generally only like older v dubs. I think that my only gripe with volkswagens are the stereotypical drivers. Fucking black rimmed glasses, tight girl pants, apple computer toting yuppie scum. Also the look of stretched tires make me want to give up on life.

Im a little confused....Why do some of you hate mkiv's so much? I know its not a bimmer, but at least its german.

they aren't German, and drive like boats. prev car was a mkIV GTI 1.8T(can only imagine how much a VR6 plows and wallows).

love the sound of VR6s though. but a BMW I6 isn't much of a downgrade in the sound department.;)

I agree they don't handle THAT well, but my first jetta could keep up with my buddies 318is in the turns as well as a '91 G20 N/A which handles AMAZING stock. I had a little weight reduction, coilovers, rear sway, h2 sport spindles(the same as an audi tt), but he has similar mods and power. So, i may agree with the fact that they don't handle well, but they don't handle like a boat. A Cadillac handles like a boat. I've driven bimmers plenty of times, so I do know the difference from a FWD VW compared to a RWD BMW. and yea, they are german.

And to be honest, yea....It IS a jetta. I'm just asking for respect of the work, not respect of the car. This thread was more to show what I can do to clean things up.
