      The big 1600 914 swap is popular and I remember a Mazda RX7 rotary swap kit from way back when.

        I had a 2270cc 914 motor (stroker crank and bored cylinders) and all of the goodies along with it. I'll have to get some pics up.

          generally people just up the bore & stroke instead of doing swaps, pretty easy & cheap as far as machine work and whatnot. iirc the 2.0 of the later model veedub busses is a popular swap as well.
