Yeah the Democrats wanting this type of control is one HUGE step closer to a socialist country... i.e. Look at Hugo "WACKO" Chavez and Venezuela

I'm voting for whoever lets me keep my guns. I will never vote democrat because I don't want everything I do to be regulated by the government, and people should worry about providing for theirselves and their own children. I don't feel responsible for them, and the government should not either.

I hope Obama gets into office, after all I have a easier time extorting money from a democrat over a republican politician any day of the week.

not sure if I heard this here or not, but it seems like Obama is a "post turtle"

Imagine coming across a turtle on a post in the middle of the country..

              he didn't get there himself
he's not supposed to be there
he's completely out of his element
The person who put him there didn't do it for good reasons

What worries me is the fact that he's able to gain leadership positions without saying anything about the issues. The only way he's able to do this is with massive, massive funding well beyond what he would ordinarily be able to gain. (If you don't believe me, look at the difference between McCain's and Obama's campaign funding. Barack's is enormous, and he's a very young, junior senator who hasn't been in washinton nearly as long as McCain.) So, the question I have is, who is behind his his sudden rise to popularity?

Having taken a class on 1930's Germany, the campaign of Obama is similar in some respects to the campaign of Hilter. (NO, OBAMA IS NOT HITLER.. NOT COMPARING THE TWO AS LEADERS, JUST THE SITUATIONS THAT LED TO THEIR POWER) People are unhappy with the current national situation, which is blamed entirely on the current leader. The upstarts promise change, and to rid the country of the ills attributed to the current govt., and are swept into office on a wave of popularity without having to dispute the issues.

The difference is, Obama's campaign seems somewhat fabricated; there's much, much more behind him. I'm wary of a candidate who is such a good orator most of his supporters don't listen to what he says behind the speeches.

I'm getting tired of hearing why Bush is bad, and am waiting to hear why Obama is good besides "Change". Change isn't always good, and I'd like to hear specific things to "hope" for.

-on a side note, I passed my flight physical. I start flight school in a week.

Did you hear he was side stepping public funds as well?? Total PR move...except he was the one that challenged MCcain to only using Public funds. But now he's using "his own". Which means he'll have even more money to use.
And he's a two face for doing it as well. What a piece of shit!

Obama wrote: "In February 2007, I proposed a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election. My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general election. My proposal followed announcements by some presidential candidates that they would forgo public financing so they could raise unlimited funds in the general election. The Federal Election Commission ruled the proposal legal, and Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election."
