Obama wrote: "In February 2007, I proposed a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election. My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general election. My proposal followed announcements by some presidential candidates that they would forgo public financing so they could raise unlimited funds in the general election. The Federal Election Commission ruled the proposal legal, and Senator John McCain (R-AZ) has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election."

he's not supposed to be there
he's completely out of his element
The person who put him there didn't do it for good reasons

What worries me is the fact that he's able to gain leadership positions without saying anything about the issues. The only way he's able to do this is with massive, massive funding well beyond what he would ordinarily be able to gain. (If you don't believe me, look at the difference between McCain's and Obama's campaign funding. Barack's is enormous, and he's a very young, junior senator who hasn't been in washinton nearly as long as McCain.) So, the question I have is, who is behind his his sudden rise to popularity?

Having taken a class on 1930's Germany, the campaign of Obama is similar in some respects to the campaign of Hilter. (NO, OBAMA IS NOT HITLER.. NOT COMPARING THE TWO AS LEADERS, JUST THE SITUATIONS THAT LED TO THEIR POWER) People are unhappy with the current national situation, which is blamed entirely on the current leader. The upstarts promise change, and to rid the country of the ills attributed to the current govt., and are swept into office on a wave of popularity without having to dispute the issues.

The difference is, Obama's campaign seems somewhat fabricated; there's much, much more behind him. I'm wary of a candidate who is such a good orator most of his supporters don't listen to what he says behind the speeches.

I'm getting tired of hearing why Bush is bad, and am waiting to hear why Obama is good besides "Change". Change isn't always good, and I'd like to hear specific things to "hope" for.

-on a side note, I passed my flight physical. I start flight school in a week.

Did you hear he was side stepping public funds as well?? Total PR move...except he was the one that challenged MCcain to only using Public funds. But now he's using "his own". Which means he'll have even more money to use.
And he's a two face for doing it as well. What a piece of shit!

I'm voting for whoever lets me keep my guns. I will never vote democrat because I don't want everything I do to be regulated by the government, and people should worry about providing for theirselves and their own children. I don't feel responsible for them, and the government should not either.

Yeah the Democrats wanting this type of control is one HUGE step closer to a socialist country... i.e. Look at Hugo "WACKO" Chavez and Venezuela

With no meaningful change in foreign policy, other than tucking back Uncle Sam's sack and "talking" to Mamoud Ahmadinejad and Kim Jong Il, I see a low yield nuclear, "dirty bomb" being set off in one or more American city. Jihadis are already blinded by his name and will realize he's no Muslim soon enough. For this "betrayal" the US will have to pay for electing a false leader. Durka durka Allah akbar Kofta kebab with hummus and tatziki please Blah blah blah.

Not having voted on anything meaningful before quitting his freshman Senate post for an early run at the White House, Obama's lack of experience will finally disappoint us all. Unlike Katrina where FEMA and Bush have been endlessly blamed for the suffering of idiots whom did not evacuate as ordered, Obama won't be blamed for being caught with his pants down because the attack will have come with no warning and how could we possibly be preared for so many injured. Well, no warning he'll ever heed. Even now as just a candidate, he's being groomed in what the daily operating procedures are as President... and that includes the President's Daily Briefing with tough, real choices to make on the war, terrorism, and openly unfriendly governments. Obama has aluded to how he will make those decisions easier; by cutting budgets, pulling back forces and tying their hands in the field, and generally ignoring the wisdom and professionalism of career intelligence servants in what he calls "big government."

Speaking of Christian, I also did not find any word in Bible that Jesus said "Give tax break to rich people only", show me if you find any, please.

    ????????????????????

you think it will better with obama at the helm?????????

Look at the drivel he has sat through by his own admission for the last 20 years, the hate an entitlement BS his mentor has spewed out is just outrageous, but is part of the culture he has been "proud" to be a part of for the last 20 years. You have no clue do you.
