Just so everyone knows this game is going to be worse that COD1 COD2 and COD4 because it is made by Treyarch, who makes every other COD for some reason. So expect COD Big Red One, COD 3 quality.

It certainly won't be the same at CoD4, but that in no way means it will be worse. Just different.

I just have no Faith in Treyarch, and two years still isn't a great amount of time when it comes to making a game, especially when you can't apply things from the previous game like from 2 to 3. But we will see, I am at least relieved to see they are spending more time and yet I still probably won't buy the game, what with much better games in the pipeline.

Fair enough... I am in no way claiming that this game will be an automatic win. I'm just saying that there's potential here. If they cleaned up their act, we could be in for a very nice WWII shooter. Otherwise, it'll be another one for the heap.

UK, June 17, 2008 - Call of Duty: World at War is to be given its first public airing this week, with a trailer coming exclusively to Xbox Live Marketplace over the weekend.

A follow-up to the trailblazing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the next instalment is a return to the theatre of the Second World War, focusing on combat throughout the Pacific and Europe.

The trailer will be available from June 21-22, so make some time in your busy weekend schedule, while the game is looking to bring the whole family together with its gritty depiction of warfare when it comes out this Christmas.
