The manifold outlet is larger than the turbine housing, or impeller.

        That's just crazy.

I know a kid (and am certainly not friends with him) that got a job as a tech at my local Dealer. He leased a brand new 335i coupe and immediately started messing with it. Well, turns out he liked to disconnect the odometer and drive it on trips and stuff. The car had about 20k miles more on it than it appeared. Then he blew the motor, hit a tree and still expected insurance to pay. WRONG.

Figures, it was only a matter of time before some idiot, mohawked youth ordered too much from the Vishnu catalog.

Oh well, now there's only 454,484,484,877 N54's left on Earth.

who the hell did you talk to? the 16g is one of the most badass "small" turbos on earth. shit a lowly 14b will take 20+ lbs. all day long.

I'm still surprised that no one has come out with a single turbo manifold upgrade yet.

I wonder if anyone knows who tuned that car. I'm guessing Vishnu.

That's a pretty ridiculous statement. Mitsu turbos are no more fragile than any other make. In fact, they're some of the most robust units on the market.

Exactly. I had an Evo 6.5 RS--Tommi Makinen Edition turbo on my Evo 8 (basically just a 16g with a lighter impeller). It made 23 lbs of boost for some 50K miles of mixed street and track use without missing a beat. No hint of axial play or anything. Hell, these things were designed to be run with an anti-lag system. Not too many turbos can take that kind of pounding.

Hai, I can not figure out how to get pictures from my cellphone to my computer, but I think I am qualified to modify the tune on my turbo car, setup screen is just liek gt5.

i AM a DSM guy haha! thats not entirely true. the garretts are of course nicer in most ways but the mitsu factory upgrades are pretty rock solid. its not like BMWs where you have the good shit that costs mucho $$$$$$$$ or the cheap shit that performs like cheap shit. there is a much broader spectrum of prices that, for the most part are in direct correlation with quality. any way turbo replacement is usually like the tenth step in the DSM upgrade path.
