2002 tii as a daily driver?

I daily drove my 74 2002 for 2 years. I can tell you an E30 is 10x the daily driver, it runs smooth when cold, quiet, actually brakes well, 5sp etc etc. If you want to daily drive a 2002 plan on spending ALOT of money on maintenance. IMHO the 2002 is much better for a weeked car or summer daily.

Pinepig on here daily drives his 2002 turbo. He is a crazy dude though.... I would not want to DD something classic like that, e30s are dime a dozen.

Nothing wrong with a deuce daily, you do have to give up a few things, none of which are fun as hell, soul and style.

Thanks guys. Considering my DD right now is a Hartge H23, something needs to change! I would just buy another E30 to DD but like I said, the price is just too right on the 2002. Best of both worlds I'd say.

go for it, especially if it's a 73
i have a 72tii, and i absolutely would not hesltate using it as a DD, or hopping in it to drive cross country
in fact i used it as a DD until restoration, as the DMV up here in the PNW gravels (not sands) the roads at the slightest freeze, which is hell on paint.
tii's are pretty much bullet proof once the injection system is adjusted properly, then left alone
they are way fun to drive
the market values for tii's are going through the roof

when i drive mine (colorado), i have all kinds of people want to talk about the car, drivers slow down and give a thumbs up. seems the car just makes people smile

thats a perfect explanation of an 02. they make people smile. while i dont have a tii i still have a bright orange 02 and especially women and kids have shit eating grins when they see it,... and i know the chicks arent smiling at me
