    Any gun nuts on here?

My other expensive hobby, I don't own yet.. But I'll be picking up a Sig 9MM very soon.

Sloppy groupings (if you can even call them that):

The gf likes punching paper too, her weapon of choice is the Glock 17C :rofl Compensated barrels are ftw:

I've been thinking about checking out the local ranges. Where do you shoot and about how much does it cost?

There's a handful of ranges here in LA, the one that I usually go to is LA Gun Club in downtown Los Angeles. There's also Firing Line in Northridge and Burbank.

Rentals are about $5 for each pistol, then $20 for a lane, and about $10 for each pack of 50 rounds.

When I go with my girlfriend, we usually shoot 2 9MM pistols and 200 rounds of 9MM. Costs around $70 - $80.

I shoot 1911s. I used to have sigs, they are one of my favorite double actions. I just switched to the SA guns because they are much easier to shoot well.

Kimber is my current piece of choice.
          Im now E30less.

Yeah, I love 1911's, next up would have to be the Glock.

              Which Kimber do you have?

step up to 40cal. 9mm maybe cheaper but 40 stops em faster. good choice with the sig though, i have a 226.

                          Beretta 92

Thinking of picking up a Glock 26/27 when I get my rebate check, or maybe spend it on the E30

Or maybe a Mossberg 500 with the pistol grip and 18.5" barrel for home defense.

The whole bigger caliber thing is overrated IMO - a center mass hit with .22 will ruin just about anyones day.

I have a Beretta 92 9mm and use Cor-Bons or HydraShoks and their stopping power is on par with some of the larger calibers.

A well placed double-tap with quality ammunition and it's game over.

Best advice is to shoot what you personally shoot best.

I like the 9mm because I can shoot it all day for cheap and I'm more accurate with it.

I also have some pre-ban mags so the extra capacity is also a nice advantage.
