Philly is one of the top teams when their shit is together (like your reasoning, right?). Dallas, Was, Chi, and NYG were all closes losses, less than a TD. As far as them getting worse, dont count on that. Unlike Houston, we have a great front office. There are no glaring needs on the team. We have two first round draft picks (Id like to see two at least one OL drafted). The only players getting older are Dawkins, Runyan and Thomas. Dawkins will need a replacement, Runyan will also. We already have Thomas' replacement.
Id like to see philly's second string play Houstons starters. I think we know whod win that.

lol whatever. Philly isn't shit this year either and probably will get worse for the next 4 years.Everyone's job should be in jeopardy minus Slaton (I drafted him in my fantasy league ;) ), Schaub, AJ, Mario, Demeco, and Dunta.... Maybe even Walter. Everyone else on that team is mediocre at very best. Its fine, its the Texans. It will always be a franchise where your "good" seasons are going .500. And it wasnt the first six games til slaton played. Thatd mean he has 1000 yards in 7 games, and hes not a 2000 yard back.
As far as the roids... maybe you should take SOMETHING to boost that testosterone level =\ Novadex FTW.Leave a comment:

Again, thats not saying theyre the third best offense. That is just saying they get the 3rd most yards per game, which doesnt mean shit if you cant score. I cant search here, but Id like to see where they are with the TO+/- in the league. Id imagine towards the bottom.

Why are you being a douchebag about this? You said 3rd best offense, true. But you are wrong claiming its the 3rd best offense. IF YOU DO NOT SCORE THE 3RD MOST POINTS, YOU ARE NOT THE THIRD BEST OFFENSE. 23rd Its Pts scored, means youre the 23rd best offense. So lets get this right... if you didnt turn the ball over as much, and if the defense was better, youd be a better team? Stunning revelation. Play d, and protect the ball, and you shall succeed. Why would we expect a better team next year, if there has been nothing positive the Texans have EVER shown? I will expect the same shitty defense, with the same 23rd best offense.
Take it up with NFL.com:
If they thought points scored meant best offense they wouldn't have set it up like this.
Lay off the roids....
The first like 6 games we played with a shit running back. Now we have slaton on full time - already over 1000 yards as a rookie. Not to mention shaub was out for like 5 games - i think 4 of which we lost. We're not losing anyone good to free agency so assuming we get some good rookies/free agents to fill in the maybe 4 positions that need to be replaced we'll be damn good.
Oh, and houston is 15th in points scored.Last edited by Turf1600; 12-09-2008, 11:32 AM.Leave a comment:

I'm not saying it's awesome. When they take care of the ball it's a killer offense. Mated with a decent defense we'll be an awesome team. Really there's like 2 games that we gave away. We should be 8-5 right now but instead we're 6-7. Such is life - expect a much better team next year.Leave a comment:

Dude. What good is running up yards when you need to take care of the ball?Leave a comment:

I didn't say we had the 3rd best record or were 3rd in scoring. I said 3rd best offense - which means total yards. If we didn't turn the ball over so much we'd be a top team.Leave a comment:

Hey remember this?
Nice to see you shutting your mouth. Troy Williamson and Jerry Porter were some HUGE pick ups, lol. Dont you look stupid.... Gotta love those jumping off their teams bandwagon when they suck.haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhahaha! the jags will OWN you this year along with the rest of our division (read: strongest division in NFL). we are a juggernaut this year, biaaaach. i mean have you seen our off season moves? btw dallas is still the class of their division. oh and the chargers beatin NO is a horrible superbowl pick.Leave a comment:

If games were won by yardage gained, then thatd be awesome. Unfortunately its not...
And scoring is what matters. So in all reality, they have the 23rd best offense.Leave a comment:

The texans had 550 total yards against green bay this sunday.Leave a comment:

I dunno, maybe deangelo williams and jonathan stewart are the cornerstone of a good offense. they ran all over the bucs. the two awesomest plays i saw:I guess because I used to play quarterback my opinion differs from yours because I'm used to having a bad O-line and having to improvise despite lack of protection and making things work. I have just always viewed the QB as the cornerstone of a good offense.
I dunno, all I know is Singletary better do something smart.
