troof. i have watched it for months now. chris seems to have completely snapped since the switch to VBulletin, posting really defensive, angry, frankly inappropriate posts attacking any and everybody who expresses an opinion opposing his. some people, TwoJs included, may remember a thread back in January in which Chris and i exchanged several mean spirited posts regarding Chris telling myself, Twojs, ACnico and DEVOe30 (IIRC) to simply leave the site because our opinions contradicted his. one of his PMs (teehee...PMS) said, and I quote,

I just have zero tolerance for peoples' unwanted opinions...but you guys need to step back and let us do our job.

all because twoJs and I, among others, were vehemently defending someone else's right to their own opinion. whatever recently happened to chris really changed the dynamics of that site. I am even afraid that posting this could result in my banning. but if that happens, so be it...I don't want to participate in a site that is against free speech and the right to opinion.

My guess is that you (as a "competitive" site owner) could push the envelope pretty hard. It would look pretty bad for him to ban you.

I'm tempted to pony up and become a "premium member" over there, I'm sure that some of this would be clearer from what is being said by the in crowd.

I should note that the form mail I received and posted here could have come from anyone... it is peculiar that i mentions John Mason in it though...I seriously doubt he would be caught dead slumming in forums like this with the likes of us ;)

Now, e30tech is a parasitic money maker. The owner is feeding off of all of you like a leech. Some people are paying to use a free site... make any sense? Notice the advertisements and Autoblog shit that is all over the place? Notice the "IE" products being sold here that in reality are just Chinese products that can be had for over $100 less on ebay? Notice how if someone posts a link to one of those products on ebay to help the community, the posts get deleted and they get banned?

Whatever though, just know there's a real community out there if you'd like to stop by some time.

The more I read about this feud the more I don't like visiting that site. There are some very good information on that site but I go there and I just leave the site, something about the website format and ITS MEMBERS. It pisses me off that I read about how people are treated over there because they don't agree with site owner, at least here the site owner may not agree with you but they give you a chance. I hate the handjobs the members give out to anyone with e30 to, regardless of the stupidity of the member the P.O.S. of e30 they have. Personally I rather have someone tell me my car is POS, which my e30 is, then have a bunch of noobs on there site tell me everything else I own is not good enough.

The premium membership is stupid, I don't pay for porn, why the hell would I pay for a cars! I really don't like going to sites like Bimmerfest, BFC that have sponsor's selling there crap in people's post's asking general parts questions, I'm waiting for e30tech to pull that shit!
