A great friend of mine was shot this weekend in Savannah GA

I grew up living next door to Jason Statts. He is an accomplished artist and bass player. HE had just finished playing a set at a local bar. Went out to dinner with his wife and left to help unload the equipment. Two blacks approached him asking him if he wanted to buy weed. Jason is a strait edge kind of guy and said that he was good. They pushed the subject again and he again said, he was good that he had no money. They walked off and Jason and his band member turned their backs. At that time the two blacks came back and shot them in the neck. 1 shot hit both Jason and his friend in the neck. Jason has lost feeling in his body just below the shoulders and is being transfered to Atlanta tomorrow.

Just when the courts rule in our favor, something like this hits home. Jason is pro gun and I just hope that they catch these two shit bags. I almost feel its time to head up to GA and open hunting season!

Words cant desribe the feelings one has when you get news like this!

Not that I know of now. His mom and dad are from Dallas GA and we all grew up in Kennesaw Ga. Graduated from Sprayberry HS in 92. Just keep him in the prayers. Its going to be a long recovery. Doctors are saying he is most likely is not going to be able to walk again.

Terrible to hear, I'm sorry for your loss.

As much as I hate to agree with Joshh in a case like this do. I remember watching a close friend die in the middle of the street after a nasty motorcycle wreck and reading the news article the next day that said he wasn't wearing a helmet (there were no reporters present, and I'm the one who filled out the police report.)

Again, truly, I am sorry for your loss and I hope that he is able to beat the doctors prognosis.

I'm a firm believer that what goes around comes around. The perpatraitors of this crime will get whats coming to them in some sort of fashion someday.
