soo.. whats it built out of? There's other, better ways to build environmentally friendly buildings that aren't prefab. And for 200k for a small one, I'll pass. The green technology exists, an can be integrated into non-prefab homes being built just as easily. This might be successful in Japanese culture, but I doubt it will take off in America.

look at recycled lumber, recycled buildings, green construction techniques, energy-efficient homes if you're interested.

You can do something here that's similar in concept and yet may be even cheaper than the Toyota house. Its called shipping container housing. Google it.

So the they build double-wide and double-tall and call it housing. WOO-HOO. The over priced trailer home, is what it is. As interesting as the idea is, the shipping container housing, as pointed out, is much cheaper, practical, and environmentally friendly.
