    Let's talk Verizon phones...

So my phone is finally taking a dump. I've had the vx8300 for over 2 years now and it's been great but it's time for something else. Throw me some suggestions for a good Verizon phone that won't cost me an arm and a leg.

I've had pretty good luck with LG but maybe there's something else out there too? I've thought about just buying another phone like mine since it's held up so damn well!

Voyager is the sickest phone ive owned. the wife works for verizon in inventory control and she says maybe a couple a month come through for a warranty replacement or any other issue. and they are coming down in price quickly as the new LG Dare just came out.

I love my Blackberry Curve but I use it for work. Got my wife the Samsung Gleam and she loves it...can't beat "free," either. :)

I've checked out the Verizon Voyager - definately a slick phone fo sho. The only thing that keeps me from going with this carrier is that their service prices are the highest in my region. They do have excellent coverage though.

I really like the Samsung Alias. It's a flip phone but it flips 2 ways with a full keyboard so its pratical.

I would not spend a ton of money on a verizon phone at this time. Reason later this year they are suppose to be switching from their cdma network to the 3g network. Which will allow you to go buy any of those other carrier unlocked "COOL PHONES" and use them on the verizon network... Just a thought. (I have the article about it bookmarked somewhere, I will see if I can find it)

I really like my verizon samsung flipshot too....

EDIT--- Small regions for the new network will start late 2008 with it all coming online 2010-2011

Verizon blows big donkey balls. Get a GSM service and go for the uber cool phones offered abroad.

or get a cheap POS and cross your fingers what Atomic posted was accurate. (that'd make sense they get on the bandwagon)

I've had my Voyager for months now and its the coolest phone I've tried out. Excellent touch screen, flip open QWERTY keyboard. Its like the enV with more awesome. I like it better than the iPhone. The Blackberry Curve is a really good functional phone if needed, my friend uses one of those for work.

The new LG Dare looks cool but seems like a poor attempt to make an iPhone copy and make it seem like they didn't. It lost the flip open QWERTY keyboard the voyager had and only adds a bigger screen. Might be cool to some, but I would not like to use my touchpad as a QWERTY keyboard...they're would be typos everywhere.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

They don't make them like they used to.

                          A damn good phone.

gf got the enV2 ~ very solid phone, I would recommended.

I've gone through many phones from verizon since I've been with them for like... I say 15 years. I've tried many brand, but LG always is on the top of my list. All the other company phone feels flimsey. or battery has issue etc.

                            Go with either

                            LG enV2 - 150 with upgrade plan
LG Dare - 200 with upgrade plan

I'm using the razr now, which totally sucks btw. i'm going to switch to either of those. But I'm weary of the Dare's touch screen keypad... So it might be the env2

I've only ever had LG phones - my first phone was an old LG with color screen and no camera (I remember the salesman trying to talk me into some other one that felt flimsy telling me it was better and I was like - no, sell me what I want!) lol Then got the LG VX8100. Replaced that with my LG Chocolate.

Next phone will me an LG most def! :D
