Torque is way more fun for a daily driven car (IMHO)

My DD is a 2000 Dodge Dakota with a 4.7L V-8, 5 speed stick and 3.92 gears. 5th gear at 30mph, turning 800rpm.... I can bury the throttle and it starts pulling... Around 1500 it starts coming on hard. Gotta love it.
If I drive responsibly on the highway, I can pull 20mpg too. Not bad for 4WD.

lol i work with trucks everyday 500 hp? i dynoed a western star with a s60 detroit diesel engine 12.7 ltr 650hp 2000lb/ft with a 24 speed box. Now that bastard would move with just the cab.
I'm next to two huge mountain ranges - near I-5 - so I run into the truckers from time to time.
It seems that the motors on the trucks are not too advanced - but that all the truckers talk about their trannys, as if to brag about them. I guess with 1500 LBS tq - you can pull anything - unless it's up hill.
