So, Colegrove, after sharing this board with you for a few months, I want to clarify a few things.

1. When I said I thought $180 was a ripoff to install a strut brace, I thought it was a typical hack job, not the involved, serious thing you do. Drilling a couple of holes and using nutserts would be a rip off for $180, but you described something of an entirely higher standard, likely worth more than $180.

Nothing I would be interested in doing to my car, but I bet 75 pounds or more of stereo would not appeal to you, either. That is OK by me, these cars do many things well. That, however, is not the point of this post.

2. You are an asshole. That is OK, I am an asshole too.

3. You have proven your worth as a board member in many ways since we sparred. You are, in fact, obviously highly talented and very knowledgeable and experienced and have earned the respect of this board.

And so, given that you have had an obviously bad day...I offer my hand in friendship and support. I apologize for what I said in that earlier thread, and hope you can find forgiveness. If not, I still respect you, and bear no ill feelings.
