2) Anyone who drops nearly $2 for plain coffee or $4+ for a blended drink daily is just throwing money away.
Think about the math for a moment. Assume you buy one venti sized brewed coffee a day for each weekday. That's $10/week x 52 weeks = $520/year in java. Double that figure (and then some) for those blended jobs. Brew at home, avoid the lines and save some scratch for the E30 :-)

Edit: I've been cutting my own hair for years. Beard trimmer with various cut settings FTW.

Dude there are people out there that pay $200 for an oil service, the synthetic we use at the shop is $11 a quart OE filters are like $12 and the shop rate is $90 an hour...
I really don't know how most people get by.
I've never had a new car, always did everything my self (well no shit there)
yeah...i got hit with a $600 bill at the Volvo dealer for a '65000 mile service'...greased door handles and a car wash that made a weekend of polishing go to crap!
I don't have the tools to do most work on the car by myself but I do what I can. I don't have the time to learn or luxury of messing up and trying again; so for some things I just have to go to a shop or find someone who does side work.
My credentials for these tips are; I'm a college student.
Learn to cook and how to portion. People think eat whatevers cheap is the best route. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy so I usually eat a lot of meat and a lot of rice and it felt like I'd run out of money eating like this. But I was doing it all wrong you can save a lot of money and still eat well. Buy meat at asian markets; its cheaper. I thought vegetables were a waste of stomach space, but they taste pretty good with the proper amount of dressing (I cant stand the taste of veggies without it). So basically when eating portion everything, have some rice, some salad or stir fried greens, and then some meat. I'm not sure how this works for more than 1 person but my food lasts me much longer now.
Carpool or if you live close enough walk or bike to campus.
When at In-n-out or any other fast food type of establishment and you want a soda lie by asking for water, if your ballsy enough fill it up with coke or whatever, but if you want to stay under the radar fill it up with 7UP. I used to do this but I'm starting to just drink water because I'm trying to cut down on soda.
Question your needs and wants.
Make an expense log to show yourself how much you spend and what your habits are. It helps A LOT.
And the biggest thing I've done to save money is
Stopped modding my e30. This one is temporary, I figured as much as I want to, I could always mod it later on in life. Maintenance is about to kill me though, I might actually have to borrow some money to get it done.
3 meals a day * 365 days=1095 meals a year. Marachuchan wholesale packs (quick googling) 24 packs for $7.18 1095/24=45.625 46*7.18=$330 ish a year. The package weighs 253 #'s however so shipping might be a bitch. But otherwise you're looking at spending 600 or so $$ on most of your meals a year!
-Starbucks is good but overpriced, I've been getting my caffine fix at a gas station for $0.89/ cup (not bad brew, either) thats prob the size of a grande.
-USE COUPONS! Yes it is kinda dorky but my wife and I prob save $20-50 a week by keeping an eye on sales at grocery stores and clipping coupons.
-We also looked closer at our Verizon bill and decided that we wern't useing as many minutes as expected. We dropped down to the next-lower useage plan and saved $20 a month.
-Oh, both my parents and hers live in town so we mooch diners off them!
-Save gas by NOT driving like... a BMW owner!
