Yea, I told an older friend of mine I could not find work. He said I was not willing to take what was available. I did not want to argue with him, but you know what I am talking about...

If you walked in to my work and asked for a job they'd snicker at you. You need to try somewhere where customer service is not a factor. Like being a janitor.

I hope you are not talking about me... I have had 5 years of customer service and loved every minute of it.

Up here you can get a job pretty much anywhere, any time. Places are cutting hours drastically and occasionally closing due to a labor shortage. This probably doesn't help you any, but I just thought I'd throw that in there.

Military? I did it, and it pays decent, about 4k a month after taxes, i go to school full time because they cover 100% tuition, and i have a hella huge MGI Bill to cover school when i get out. Hours suck, deployments suck, but there is alot of fun in between. Just keep your options open, the military isn't that bad.

Do as many experiments as you can during college too, Coke paid out like 5000 dollars if you would do their experiments and agree to a muscle biopsy at my school last year. I am sure there are tons of things you can do like that, and probably most of them would let you keep all your fingers and toes.

Nah, there's some smaller towns around that have serious LOW unemployment problems, where businesses have a hard time hiring.

The key is not to compete with HS idiots, or immigrants.

                            Southern Comfort:

I worked throughout the remaining years of HS at a real estate office, and enjoyed job security. Ability to deal with agents and be on the phone was important, and could have eventually led to a better paying licensed assistant job with just a little night training and hours were pretty flex.

Not sure if that is as attractive now as 5 years ago, but the big realtors are still making fat bank and their offices need someone there to schedule showings or deal with logistics.

I'm not gay. Stop projecting yourself unto me. I only have one, and never said I was proud of it, just that I was wearing one in the picture blunt posted. Learn to read.

I could deal with being a janitor. But like I said, not hiring. Once again, learn to read.

You're retarded. If a job that was hiring required basic math skills, I wouldn't give a shit because I don't HAVE basic math skills. FAIL.

Glad to see that some of your areas are not bad off. Every person I speak with in metro atl is having trouble... whether they are small business owners, employees of large corps, or students.

A friend of mine owns one of the larger developing companies, Hedgewood Homes, and its about to die. He had almost 200 employees last year, now he has 15. All the million dollar home he sold are stagnant and he cannot sell some of the remaining ones...

I have been able to detail about 4 cars on the side. No one wants that either.

I think Bush said the economy is strong and growing, I must just be imagining otherwise.
