Maybe you can be a wanna-be good will hunting - except one that can't figure out a 6h grade math problem. Oh well. At least you know your place in society.
I never said that I got turned down, I said they're not hiring. Once again, LEARN TO FUCKING READ.
This is all for jobs for while I get through school. They're just about required to be a shit job like working at a taco place. Like I said, places like that aren't hiring at all right now.

Actually, I'm not really sure, but I think I used a calculator. heh.

Housing prices are dropping like crazy, banks are struggling to stay afloat, and people with no place to live are going to move somewhere else.

Just to give you some perspective - back in the 1990/1991 savings and loan crisis, something like 900 banks failed that the fed had to take over. This year, there have only been 5 - we aren't through it yet, but don't let the media's doom and gloom stories make you think this is the worst thing we've ever been through.

Most of you guys are pretty young, like 19-20 - you've never been through a bad economy. The worst thing you've seen was the dot-com bubble and 9/11, neither of which were especially bad. Basically, we've had 20 years of non-stop growth, and none of you know what it's like to go through a bad time.

        so true

Yes but this is a function of what people want to see/read.

When the news is always happy and delightful, no one tunes in, picks the up paper, etc etc...........ad revenues go down. How do you combat that?

You play up doom, gloom, destruction and drama. People will eat that shit up, stay tuned in, ad revenue goes up because of the size of the audience.

People can change what gets reported by not buying the SHIT that is available now.

I do my part by ignoring all major media outlets.

Campus jobs are easy and $$, apply there. Also a suggestion budget yourself, aka don't buy useless shit or eat out. If all else fails sell your e30 and ride a bike (last resort) or just bike and don't buy gas.
Don't waste your time posting on r3v until you find a job if you're that worried about it.

Another thing with campus jobs is, depending on local laws, you can often qualify for work-study and not pay any taxes during semester. That is a 20% increase in take-home.
                            Im now E30less.

Have you tried any hospitals? The hospital that I work at has plenty of noob positions like patient care tech, pharm tech, etc... You could also tried autoparts stores like Autozone, Napa, Advance. I worked that shit job for two years until I finished an associates so that I could become an IV technician.
