Apparently I did misunderstand. Truly useless is it, but I would rather be associated with taking no side instead of the dysfunctional religious side.

You can send all funds to my paypal account and I will absolve you of sins and you will be welcomed into the pearly gates in the afterlife.

It costs $100,000 and butt sex though...you gotta pay to play if it's for salvation.

not many people understand. here in texas, two things are huge. church and football. or so it seems.

true, religion belongs at home, but in highschool a student chooses his/hers classes. they can arrange when they take them, and the school will usually work with their desire.

Not many people go to church, and a bible class will be nothing more than that. it doesnt need to be praying, but at the same time, the bible is something major in the worlds history. there have been laws preventing it.

I think the people who are truly intelligent in life, are the ones who have read a bible from beginning to end. it explains alot. and history repeats itself.

sometimes, having faith will help people through something.

That photo is proof though. You can't deny it now. I've even heard of people who have see him in melted crayons in the street - or burnt onto the bottom of the pizza. There's just no way to deny him anymore.

In an attempt once again to explain myself, for turf, who's a little slow tonight, agnosticism is defined by not believing that any existence of a higher power can be proven...unicorns, spaghetti monsters, or judeo-christian monsters. When did I ever justify that I was an agnostic only to the judeo-christian god? Since your so versed in the current philosophical theories, why can't you read what I wrote correctly? I have no problem having an intelligent conversation, but the level of intelligence is slowly dwindling into name calling.

Oh and where was my argument in agreeing with a previous post? There was no argument. It was a statement. Maybe less philosophy and more hooked on phonics. Seriously though, pay attention.

Are you saying you believe 100% that zeus is imaginary? If so, you're an atheist in regard to that religion. I have no more reason to believe in judeo-christian god than I do Zeus - therefore I am an atheist all together. How on earth can you say being agnostic is the only logical choice when you most likely don't believe in the flying spaghetti monster or the teapot rotating around the sun? By the same logic that you're only agnostic to the judeo-christian god you should feel the same way about unicorns, zeus, lightning gods, and the lady of the lake. Are you honestly telling me you can't deny their existance? Or os there something special about the judeo-christian god that makes it an exception?

And speedhop, you're a real asshat. I've read Dawkins and Dennett. I've seen the all of the documentaries. I'm well versed in plato and socrates and most realms of philosophy. You sound like one of the brain dead peons that come on the richard dawkins forums.

Lots of powerful people have used it to control, others have used it in genuine faith. There is no proof, that's why it's a topic for discussion. Agnostic is the only logical choice. If it weren't for Constantine, I'd be willing to bet that the free world would still be into Greek mythology and polytheism.
