My father raised me on black and whites of WWII. He was/is a huge WWII buff. I've probably watched months worth of documentaries in my life. Matter of fact, I have it on Clash of Warriors - "Rommel vs Montgomery" on the Military History Channel as I type! haha

My grand father stormed Omaha beach on D-Day, And lived to tell the tale and raise a family.

He never spoke of that day, Till the day he died he kept that with him.

people pass away, it's natural. As stated, it's really hard when it's people you care about. A really good friend of the family and my aunt passed away this past weekend.

Be very grateful you didn't have to catch a ride in one of these things...

Nice. I prepped it too by having the heat on high for a few hours.

My only experience seeing a dead person was when my mother passed away. It was at home - she had a massive heart attack - I was in the same room as her when it happened. I tried CPR to revive her while my brother was on the phone with 911 but to no avail. It was mixed emotions on overload for me. There I was looking at a deceased loved one who just moments earlier was alive and talking about plans for a family dinner the coming week. I wasn't grossed out or anything like that.....just utter shock to what I experienced first hand. It's a day I will never forget.

    Jon

I dont like the fact that he was shown to you. We sometimes watch "Deadman talking" on A&E or Bio, I forget which one. But they show the police footage from inside the house, show the bloody scene, the dead body with blood surrounding it. Just THAT makes me a little uneasy. Not from the blood or the gore, but from the disrespect. I just hope when I go, my corpse is treated properly, with more respect than the officer has shown that particular person's.

i saw a dead guy laying on the ground in the middle of broad street. it was the middle of the day and sunny out. I was walking to commerce bank and passed him, thought he was just a homeless man. But on my way back there were a bunch of business men in suits standing by him, and one checked his pulse and then leaped back and was like "he's dead!"

He might have thought he was doing you a favor. (Oxnard PD or Sheriff ??)

    Oxnard PD.
