You're too stupid to see the real issue with government spending is not in control of anyone, besides those who would seek to eliminate the entitlement programs in existence.

Bush didn't establish social security, and what was the party of the person who did? Medicare? Medicaid? Food stamps?

Democrats are great at creating social programs that cannot be funded long-term. Do you really want Obama to start new programs?

I know exactly how it works, and I know that good old Dubya can't hold Clinton's jock. Dubya has swollen the deficit every single year - with a Repub congress and without.

Congress approves what is to be spent on each bill not the President, that is their job not his. Both parties are at fault with the out of control spending period.

Now what can my next earmark be that I can squeeze out of the democrats in congress?

See, that is not true. Current government has hired many contract companies, but it's not all president. Bush doesn't hire companies, congress does. Bush, after 9/11, did a lot to get rid of bureaucracy. He took immigration and defence departments, and put them together, eliminating almost 1000 officials, than Homeland Security was even further simplifying the equation. he did this with transportation, and many other departments. Bush is not the sharpest knife in the kitchen, and group surrounding him are shady, but not everything they did was bad.

One of the good things they have done, is that they have set a new low for presidency, and no matter who is elected for the next 100 years, it will all seem better.

Too bad you don't live in Alaska:

Ted Stevens indicted, longest-serving GOP senator

By LARA JAKES JORDAN, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 11 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Sen. Ted Stevens, the nation's longest-serving Republican senator and a major figure in Alaska politics since before statehood, was indicted Tuesday on seven felony counts of concealing more than a quarter of a million dollars in house renovations and gifts from a powerful oil contractor that lobbied him for government aid.

I don't see why privatizing work to people who actually know how to handle shit is a bad thing. Do you know many government workers?

Even the DoD is using consultants to improve their programs.

    Those tax cuts REALLY work!
You're really a moron, you know that?

The spending didn't increase until 2001, and the revenue decrease didn't happen until 2001 either. The revenue turned around and quickly began increasing in 2003. Are you seriously that dumb not to see the difference in spending/revenues and dates? Tax rate cuts definitely helped tax revenues.

Mandatory spending is the cause of deficits:

Rough numbers, if mandatory spending was still the same ratio to discretionary, there would be $1trillion swing (i.e. $500 billion surplus), but the costs of entitlement programs has been growing outrageously.
