see thats the reason I want to do this, I am German so it is in my background. I also like getting a tattoo that will start a story. If someone doesn't speak German they will ask me what it means. Then they will ask why I got it, which starts the story. So there really is meaning to it. Its not just some random tattoo that has no menaing

that makes sense but as I said in the first post, I already have another tattoo pertaining to what happened and actually it reads "blessed"

so...

I'm not saying you dont raise a good point but this will be on the inside of my upper arm so it will be covered by a shirt. Then if I'm at the beach or something and someone sees it and starts speaking German to me, then I can feel like an idiot. The location cuts my chances of looking like and idiot but more than half. I did the calculations.:D

There is also something inherently lame about getting a tat in a language that you dont understand. You are just like those kids with the japanese writing on them or the ever classy OE text in spanish.
