He is saying that he doesn't see how the collider would not just destroy itself before accidentally making something as powerful as a black hole. I think. lol

All the black holes in the universe are due to intelligent civilizations trying to carry out experiments just like this one. I guess we are next.

we don't meet the specifications. I think it is going to fail horribly and all this fear will be for naught.

I can only hope that the catastrophe that ensues only kills the fuckers that are running that circus and not take the world with it. That, or they get the results they are looking for and we can find intelligent life forms somewhere out there...

I would assume that if people are smart enough to slam atoms into each other at the speed of light in an underground tube, they are smart enough to analyze and reasonably predict the outcome of such collission.

Should be awesome to hear what they come up with from the study - Can't wait. I lost myself one afternoon a few years ago in a 6 pack and reading about string/m theory in physics. some of this stuff is way, way out there. I love it.

Ha, they're not even colliding tomorrow. They're just accelerating protons. It's going to be a month or two until we really get to the good shit.

I've heard mixed stories, I also heard they were gonna test clockwise, then shut down, test counter-clockwise, then shut it off until after winter.

Should be really cool to see what kinds of stuff they can discover. String theory, dark matter, etc is really interesting stuff.

As for the black holes thing........meh.
