This setup is great with the new generation. my older setup is OK, but the new one incorporates WBO2 and other setups... much better. Martin also provides excellent tech support and the product is easy to instal. PM if you have any more questions... glad to help.
of course, it's just harder to work with and more finicky. MAF works great for ITBs, but you lose a little throttle response. MAP is pretty much a no-go but some people do it anyway. for a car you're not dailying though, there's nothing wrong with Alpha-N. :)

keep thinking the dollar is doing good. I just got an exchange rate of 1.62 2 days ago on the buy of my new toy. even at 1.50 it is terrible. if it is 1:1 that still sux compared to what it was like yearsago.
I lived the exchange rate everyday for the past 14 years-- and why isnt Mike selling e30 parts anymore??????? because the dollar is crappy-- but I sure do hope it gets better.

I'll forgive your ignorance of international finance, but when a currency comes about to replace the USD's need to be the inter-exchange between the majority of a continent, the demand for the dollar falls. Add in a few other places that chose to use the Euro instead of USD for dollarization, and the demand has greatly fell to use the USD... besides for oil of course.

What does the future hold? Who knows? The dollar is used primarily in one economic environment, where the Euro must be pushed and pulled by dozens of countries and the interest rate is common to all of their situations, whether recession or boom. It may end up failing, and has already run into issues of asymmetrical shocks.

Why did the sterling leave the euro monetary controls, again?

what does international finance have to do with buying e30 parts- or for that matter anything in "normal people" numbers?

I can tell you one thing, I dont study finance, but if it takes a degree to figure out when to buy car/parts parts- Ill follow right behind you.

rwh has a 'certificate' from somewhere, so that gives him the right to take a shot at anyone who mentions anything about the worthless US dollar.

He still hasn't told anyone what his "certificate" is, or where he got it.

I'm starting to think it's just a license to be an asshole.

Not that there's anything wrong with that. ;)

This thread was discussing the recovery of the "troubled" US economy in comparison to the troubled European economy, when dealing with energy costs or what other effects are going on, and the change in trend of currency rates.

Your post about the Euro/USD exchange rate not being that great still because it's not less than $1 for one (e) is not that relevant as much of the devaluation of the dollar was the decrease in its use when exchanging money between nations. With another "standard" currency to use, the USD was used less, and in lower demand, so that its value fell.

Let me know if I need to spell it out slower for you.

but in your title it says "time to buy from germany" as well as your first post you mention not to buy to many e30 parts "because it could be bad for the dollar-- and that is what I was replying on.

but as we all know you are certified and you are NEVER wrong. so its all good, we will all just sit back now and listen to your infinate wisdom now.
