yeah 9MM shoulda gone alot bigger than he did, another 90's head that fell thru the cracks.
the "all for the money" by CMW is a personal fave too.
this isnt old school by a long shot but dope nonetheless:
"married to marijuana" By noreaga:
so i dont throw this totally off the tracks:
"Illegal business"
"poisonous products"
sex and violence is arguably one of the most underrated hip hop albums ever. Hard to get nowadays, as its out of print as supposedly this and a host of other masters from this era got 'lost' or some bullshit.Leave a comment:

I listened to my fair share of West Coast back in the day. DJ Quik for sure, Eazy was the SHIT, Dog Pound, Cypress Hill, Digital Underground, and I know you guys remember MC Eight.
Makes me think back and trip on the person I was back in the day. Running around claiming, going to school in the mornings knowing I was going to get into a fight or worrying about getting jumped. haha! I got to laugh, altough it wasn't everyone that made it here a better person.
Smoked a joint with these cats when they came to Dallas.
damn, riding in the drop top Caprice jamming!

Mariano, Your taste in rap reminds me of 93. AWESOME. That's what we listened to here in Atlanta back then.I am absolutely a West Coast G-rap fan. With its great beats and ethereal sound, compounded with relevant social commentary. Seeing as Im 27, early-mid 90's is already old school to me. I I never called it hip hop. We always called it rap, which I still do. "Hip Hop" was an East Coast term. But back then I was DEEP into the gangbangin and the latinos didnt really have beef with the blacks in L.A.
Kausion-What you wanna do?
DJ Quik(My personaly favorite rapper of all time)-Tonite
DJ Quik-Safe and Sound
DJ Quik-Dollaz & Cents
Ice Cube-This is How We Do it
Dre-Let Me Ride (First album I ever bought)
Xzibit-What You See Is What You Get
Warren G-This DJ (An E36 and E24 in this vid)
Warren G-Indo Smoke
Dove Shack-Summertime In The LBC (quintessential West Coast beat)
South Central Cartel-All Day Everyday
MC Eiht-Streiht Up Menace
Man I remember L.A. was FUCKED back then.
