    Best Towns in Washington?

    Hey everyone....I am researching different towns to possibly move to outside of my outrageously expensive home state of California. I'm thinking that a move to the PNW might be my best option, and i was hoping to get some info from you guys. If anyone has any suggestions about what towns are best to live in/ where to avoid, i would really appreciate it. I am looking for a small town/ "village" atmosphere, but somewhat close to the big city. I've heard great things about Washington.

    Enlighten me please!!

    I will personally say the Stadium District and North Tacoma. I genuinely love it here. Water, big city that isn't too big, jobs, old historic buildings and homes, down to earth people, good music scene, yadda yadda.

            I am visiting that exact area right now, and can add vicious pool players in Tacoma...I got my ass handed to me tonight, and I generally do OK.

            This is a nice area.

                You don't like any places in the PNW!?

                I'm just looking for some specifics on different areas. I've only visited Seattle.

                Any reasons on why the PNW is great and where these great places are would be a big help.

                    Nice places outside Seattle :

                    Woodinville, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Issaquah, Sammamish, Medina,Queen Anne Hill, Magnolia, Ballard, Freemont, Wallingford, Madison Park. or Redmond
                    Anywhere on the Eastside.......I know I'm going to get shit about my choices but these are all nice places outside the actual city of Seattle. I have not listed anywhere that is more than 30 minutes away.

                    Places to avoid::drink:

                    Everett, Tacoma, Lakecity, Seatac, Tukwila, Renton, Olympic Peninsula, Aberdeen, Forks, Vancouver anywhere south of Seattle.

                    Check out these interesting quote :

                    "Gilmartin says two other Washington cities , Forks and Vancouver, barely missed the cut. He calls Forks "a festering wound of a town", and Vancouver "methamphetamine junkie haven."

                    "True, some areas of Tacoma are nice, but one must be very careful, and I do not recommend Tacoma to anyone first moving to our area unless they first talk to someone there they trust."
