Load and Reload are ok in my book. I just grew up listening to the black album over and over and over again. First cassette tape and CD i ever bought. haven't listened to the black album in seriously like 7 or 8 years thoughLeave a comment:

the way to do this is buy the album (download it for free!) and listen to it expecting that it is going to be absolute shit! then you can't be disappointed at all. thats what i do when i have to go see bad movies with chicks or the family and some times i am mildly surprised that i end up not wanting to shoot my self at the end! that said i hope this album rocks my world as much as master of puppets and and justice for all!Leave a comment:

I like every song off Load, Reload and the Black Album.
I used to be a huge Metallica fan. I can't always get in the mood for the older heavier stuff anymore, but it does kick ass when I am.
The new stuff sucks. I would have been happier if they would have just stopped sooner. But, if they enjoy playing, more power to them.Leave a comment:

So, how can people love the Black album, and then hate Load/Reload? It's the same stuff.
Disclaimer: I actually like a lot of the tracks off of L & ReL. Fixxxer, bleeding me, Mama said, Hero of the day and such are great tracks.

Trujillo's not a scrawny fuck like Newsted, you want to go up to him and say "we're turning down your bass?"
That being said, you don't fuck with Bob. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGvBteFZiGE

That is what I figured. There are a bunch of samples from the album that are available. The links are at this blabbermouth story:

Most of it sounds like riffs from And Justice for All, but you can hear the bass. Meh.Leave a comment:

S&M is one of my favorite Metallica Albums.
When I was taking music lessons in HS (2 yrs ago) John Engelkes, my private teacher, was mentioned in the album credits as he was a trombonist for the SanFrancisco Symphony at the time. That was back in 2000. When I was in a lesson, I asked john if he ever listened to Metallica when he was younger, he said he got to play with them in a live recording with the Symphony. I was left in disbelief.

How fucking crazy is that, it goes to show that Bay Area musicians don't move around too much.
Metallica man, they set a new generation of metalheads, helping start the metal genre. I'm skeptical about this new album, im sure it won't be ground breaking but at least they'll be writing new material.Leave a comment:
