all of the albums (bar that one with lars playing with the pots and pans) are pretty badass. obviously the justice albums and earlier are the best the others still have some cool songs like charlie mentioned. with the new one i'm expecting maybe another "load" but hoping for another "puppets/lightning"

The second single to be released by the band from the upcoming album:
"My Apocalypse"
So glad that the power construct of Hetfield/Ulrich are allowing solos again.
And to the individuals that are forecasting this to be a huge disappointment/failure/end for the band, have you actually even listened to the train wreck that was St. Anger? This is a huge step in the right direction from that.
I also don't necessarily think that everyone is playing with a realistic mindset here, the days of "The Frayed Ends of Sanity" and "Battery" are days that will not return. I will be interested if they can even come somewhat close to their previous levels of energy.
I also completely agree with Mariano's assessment, it is evident that the hunger is no longer a part of the equation as much as complacency now is. Plus these guys are what, middle forties now?
Still meh for me at this moment. I'll reserve my final opinion until I have the actual full length album in my hands for review.

You weren't too far off on the song titles though:
Complete track listing for the album
That Was Just Your Life
The End Of The Line
Broken, Beat & Scarred
The Day That Never Comes
All Nightmare Long
Cyanide
The Unforgiven III
The Judas Kiss
Suicide & Redemption
My Apocalypse
Seriously Metallica, you had to make a third extension of a song???

youtube link: i was just thinking that they need to simply get rid of vocals and focus purely on just the music. when they did their S&M stint, i fell away, far away, i still bought it, but that was before i heard it. i liked Reload ALOT more than Load... and the classics are just straight up classics.
when they went that SM route i seriously wondered if it was foreshadowing of the balls to do the first hard metal rock album without vocals. ...the intro to the first linked song is a shining glory slowly building to what one hopes to be an unbrideled, unholy wrath of riffs and heated intensity, BUT INSTEAD we get a vocal chime-in and a placid leveling of a potent revival alchemy of their infamous ancient emotion-evoking twines
seriously, if metallica had the balls to release a PURE-AS-IT-GETS metal instrumental album, no bull shit just methodically planned and constructed rips with fresh pure CLEAN energy solos, i swear i'll get their thorn logo tattooed wherever the public sees fit.
