    honestly, anywhere you live in the PNW, you'll have access to tons of ski areas - mt baker, snoqualmie, whistler, kelowna, etc. etc.

      I've only been to Alpental twice, the first time the fog was so thick that I couldn't tell what it was like, the second time the snow was about as good as Snoqualmie gets, and I hated it, very disappointing. I had a season pass last year and spent most of my time at Summit East, to be more specific, in the trees between central and East, that was a lot of fun.

      I much prefer Crystal, but that's $900 for a season pass vs $300, and my car can't go to Crystal. Also if you are into jumps and rails and whatnot, Crystal has none.
