I sense (and hope) that is merely a statement of facetiousness - the lefty blog-o-sphere has been having a picnic day with this bit of news. Kudos to Obama for releasing a statement today saying such personal family issues should not be a topic of the campaign.....it has nothing to do with Palin's qualifications as a candidate for the veep. I may not be all that fond of the guy, but I give him props for taking the high road and showing some class which is rare in politics these days.

I also find it very hypocritical that the vocal feminists which have been saying for years 'a woman doesn't have to stay at home and care for the kids.....if she chooses to pursue a career and be a mom, more power to her.' But now there's Mrs. Palin, who is doing just that - a mom/wife/career woman and simply because she's on the Republican ticket, these same feminists are coming out and questioning whether she can balance all these demands in her life.

Now as for her 17-year old daughter getting preggo, what the heck are you to expect? Her mom has pumped out 5 of them already, and god knows how many times she overheard daddy riding mommy like a snowmobile. She probably thought to herself, "hmmmm - that sounds like fun."

Would you rather have Palin as POTUS? Very possible if that forgetful (can't remember how many houses he has, the poor thing!) septuagenarian gets elected, then dies before the end of his term(s). In regards to the whole pregnancy issue with Palin's Daughter. Shes 17, shit happens. Her parents are very well to do and she has the support.

Her pro-life mom lead by example. Personally I think it was a very bad choice for Paliin to be genetically tested and was known positive for down syndrome baby, and she still chose to bring it into this world anyways. What, 4 healthy children are not enough? Fail. Critical decision making, fail.

I can't stand pro-lifers. If you can't afford it, stick it with a hanger. If its going to be genetic failure, stick it with a hanger. I think abortion clinics should be publicly funded and well advertised. It would be alot cheaper to fund abortions then to fund all the 'welfare' babies.
