I usually just go up every weekend from thursday night to sunday night. I stay at my friends' houses up in tahoe. I only got good 'cause the dude's I shred with are fucking nuts. Check them out.

I've been skating for 8 years. I just started snowboarding last year. I had no idea I had so many brethren on this site.
Nick Dompierre (yes, THAT Nick Dompierre) is actually an active member over on e30tech. He's got a 350hp e30.

Been skating since '87, well I have slowed way down in the last 5 years, but I have been getting out more lately since a park opened up not far from my house an it has a wonderful 4 ft mini.
As for snowboarding, went to UVM bought a big pass back when they were like $120 so I could ride Stowe and Sugarbush as much as I wanted. 3 years later I blew my ACL out. That killed me. I couldn't "really" skate for almost a year, I was 22 at the time. It pissed me off so bad that I did not ride again until 6 year later. However I did start skating on the Burton mini ramp about 4 months after surgery to build my knee back up. Man those were the days.
It seems that skaters/snowboards are attracted to BMWs and VWs. I wonder how many of you would like to or have owned a VW as well?John

been snowboarding since 99 or 00. love it. nothing beats an early day with some good coffee, get on the mtn, shred for the day then chill with the homies and have some beers after."Modern cars, they all look like electric shavers."

Too bad skatepark of austin closed. 69 bowl ftw."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

Haha, have been there many a time.
Snowpark is looking so damned good this season.
Even the north island mountains, which are usually pretty average, had to get a new measuring stick, they've had so much snow this year

I skated until i broke my ankle, I was ollieing with a backside tweak out of a natural kicker off a loading dock, When i was bringing the tweak straight again i lost my front foot and ran it over with the nose. I skated for about 3 months after it was healed but street skating got too unbearable with the pain i still have.
Now i just rip around the park and do lots of Slashes, I feel like a failure. :-/
BTW i like the picture of the Fs smithComment

If you head over my way, we'll have to go together. I even have a 4 board rack for the e30.I plan on trying snowboarding this coming winter.. Pretty stoked.
I've skated all my life but suck still. I go in and out. Of course I'm into fixed gear bikes now.
Is snowboarding as hard as everyone is telling me?
I have good balance on a board still. Can ollie just fine in any shoes. Can cruise on a long board.. etc..
I've been boarding for a few (short) seasons with only half a season thrown in the middle from a separated shoulder.Comment
